Vice President, Client Account Lead
As vice president and client account lead, John develops integrated healthcare strategies to enhance a health system’s accountable delivery of care to the community and directs a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, technologists and consultants that provides clinical and operational expertise for healthcare organizations engaging in the journey to value-based care. In his current position, John provides executive oversight of one of Lumeris’ strategic clients, with a total revenue over $15 billion and more than 5 million members. John develops strategic solutions for accountable care delivery, including: benefit design, incentive alignment, process improvement, clinical quality improvement, cost and utilization improvement, and provider-patient engagement. He is a champion for Lumeris’ playbook for accountable care that earned Essence Healthcare, a Lumeris client, a 4.5-Star rating or higher from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for six years in a row. John has a multifaceted background as a clinical pharmacist with more than 15 years of experience in Six Sigma process improvement, business development and healthcare management. In addition, he has more than seven years of administrative experience managing teams of up to 30 members. Prior to Lumeris, John spent 15 years with BJC Healthcare in various leadership roles. He has a master’s degree in business administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.
