Chuck Cory is a corporate advisor and independent investor who focuses on the intersection of finance and corporate strategy in the technology sector. In more than 30 years as an investment banker, Chuck has advised on more than 300 successful transactions aggregating well in excess of $500 billion, ranging from IPOs and debt financings to corporate restructurings, spinoffs and mergers, acquisitions and business combinations.
Chuck joined Morgan Stanley in 1982 and was appointed Managing Director in 1991. From 1996 to 2005, he was responsible for the firm’s activities in technology mergers and acquisitions, running that business on a global bases from Silicon Valley. From 2005 to 2015, Chuck served as Chairman of Global Technology Banking. Chuck also served as the Lead Independent Director of Alteryx (NYSE: AYX), a next generation platform for enterprise analytics, from IPO (2017) through the sale to private equity (2024). He has also served on the board of ezCater (Boston) and Locus Health (Virginia) and is a Venture Partner for Companyon Ventures (Boston).
