As Chief Growth & Corporate Development Officer at Lumeris, John Fryer leads a team that partners with health system and provider organizations’ leadership to develop detailed and pragmatic solutions to own, deploy, and administer risk-based models of value-based care. He is responsible for the development of new national and regional relationships and provides a powerful voice on the Lumeris leadership team. John has focused his career on driving large business model transformation efforts, leading project teams to create executable strategies to drive growth and long-term organizational sustainability. Partnerships established during John’s tenure at Lumeris have come to represent more than 1 million members moving into value-based models of care and more than $10B in medical spend under management, all anchored around a physician driven healthcare experience for U.S. consumers.
John’s background in digital transformation and strategy consulting for healthcare organizations has helped him to develop a broad range of skills including enterprise strategic planning, financial analysis, value-based contracting, physician network organization, disruptive technology deployment, and clinical integration. These skills, along with his strategic vision, deep customer empathy, and focus on driving improvements in healthcare delivery, allow him to support health systems, payers, and provider groups as they continue to reinvent themselves in the fast-evolving healthcare environment.
John is passionate about helping organizations in their enterprise transformation and frequently speaks at and authors content on related topics for national conferences and publications. In addition to his full-time responsibilities with Lumeris, John is an active angel investor focused on early-stage companies within the healthcare and sustainability industries. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a Minor in Entrepreneurship from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University.
