Tom serves as Senior Vice President, Client Partner at Lumeris. He brings nearly 30 years of healthcare experience to Lumeris with leadership across population health management, clinical integration, medical group, health plan and finance functions. Tom is currently responsible for co-creating strategic plan development and supporting operational execution of TriHealth’s population health initiatives.
Prior to joining Lumeris, Tom served as CEO of Brown & Toland Physicians HMO in San Francisco, a subsidiary of Blue Shield of California, with 2,700 physicians that achieved Elite Status for America’s Physician Groups Standards of Excellence survey. He also served as President of Bridges Health Partners, a joint venture Population Health Services Organization (PHSO) and CIN between 4 Health Systems in the Pittsburgh region with 1,100 doctors and 8 Hospitals. Under Tom’s leadership, Bridges achieved performance in the top 5% of all ACOs nationally.
In addition, Tom was the inaugural President and CEO of Healthcare Solutions Network, a joint venture clinically integrated network (CIN) in Cincinnati founded in 2014 by TriHealth and St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Lastly, Tom held several leadership roles during his 15 years at Aultman Health Foundation, a vertically integrated delivery system in Canton, Ohio, to include President of its Medical Group/MSO and VP of Finance.
Tom received his MBA degree from the University of Akron and is currently licensed as a CPA. He has also achieved designations as a Fellow by the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) by MGMA, Managed Healthcare Professional (MHP) by AHIP and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
