Lumeris Expands Medical Director Team with Hire of Dr. Lance W. Coleman

St. Louis — AUGUST 9, 2016 –  Lumeris, a pioneer in population health management solutions headquartered in St. Louis, is pleased to announce Dr. Lance W. Coleman will serve as medical director.
Dr. Coleman will be responsible for providing payers and providers with the necessary tools to deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. With nearly 20 years of clinical and administrative experience and a wealth of knowledge in population health management, Dr. Coleman will bring great value in developing strong relationships and minimizing costs. He will report to Dr. Paul Kaplan, senior medical director.

Dr. Coleman comes to Lumeris from Blue Cross of Idaho where he served for almost two years as senior medical director. He was instrumental in managing Blue Cross of Idaho’s multi-million dollar budget and leading the organization to a National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation. Prior to his role at Blue Cross of Idaho, he was in private practice as an otolaryngologist (head and neck surgery) for 12 years.

Dr. Coleman received his bachelor’s degree in zoology from Brigham Young University. He earned his doctorate of medicine from University of Utah, and completed his residency in otolaryngology at Northwestern University. Dr. Coleman and his wife have six children and reside in Boise, Idaho.
